Opening Day 2022-23
The Opening Day programme began with school assembly in the portico
at 8:45 am. The programmes were:
Prayer Song, Flag Hosting, Principals Message
, Vice-Principals Address,Balloon releasing to mark the inauguration of Ruby Jubilee Celebrations.
The Official programme for Ruby Jubilee and Opening Day began with
a procession. The guests were given a ceremonial welcome by the SPC
cadets, band, scouts and flower-girls. The programme started with the
prayer song. Rev. Fr. Tomy Elavunkal CMI (Director, KJ Group &
Principal, KJHSS) offered a special prayer on the sad demise of
Anuvind Binu student of Class XI and Edwin Immanuel Thomas, son of
Renju Thankachen the faculty member of Kristu Jyoti. The audience
observed a silent prayer in tribute to their sad demise. This was followed
by the Welcome Speech by Mrs Leena Dominic (Vice Principal of
KJHSS). Rev. Fr. Thomas Choolaparampil CMI (Manager, KJ Group)
presided over the function and Rev. Fr. Tomy Elavunkal CMI (Director,
KJ Group & Principal, KJHSS) dedicated the school to the Sacred Heart
of Jesus. This was followed by the grand inauguration of Ruby Jubilee
Celebrations by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Chamathara CMI (Provincial, St.
Joseph Province, Thiruvanathapuram). Depicting 40 years of
establishment, 40 students lighted lamps in front of the Alma-Mater.
Rev. Fr. Scaria Ethirett CMI (Principal, Placid Vidya Vihar SSS)
unveiled the Jubilee Logo designed by Juwin Joe James of class XI .
Adv. Job Michael (MLA, Changanassery)delivered the key note address.
Mrs. Sophy Lalichen (Panchayat President, Vazhappally), Mrs. Lalimma
Tomy (Chairperson , Development Board, Vazhappally), Mr.Joseph
Thomas (PTA President), Mr. Boban Mathew (Former Student, 1st
Batch) felicitated on the function. Kum. Elda Thomson, Kum. Mary
Naira , Kum. Krishna Sreenivas, Kum. Akhila Elsa Jacob entertained the
audience with their melodious performances. Rev. Fr. Philipose
Thunduvalichira CMI (Principal, KJVN) welcomed the new teachers
Mrs. Manju S Gopi, Mrs. Siji Joseph, Mrs. Sreevidya Rajesh by offering
bouquets to them. The Jubilee Anthem performed by the whole Staff
members of KJ was a visual and an auditory treat to the audience. The
Jubilee Declaration programme was also a thrilling experience. The
programme ended with the School Anthem.
